OVERVIEWStructured onboarding designed specifically for new
graduate RNsOne-on-one mentorship with experienced nursing

needsRESPONSIBILITIESDeliver comprehensive nursing care using the
nursing process and evidence-based practicesDevelop and revise
patient care plans based on ongoing assessment and patient/family
inputPerform admission assessments, skin assessments, and
documentation of patient conditionsAdminister medications, IVs, and
perform procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and
post-operative supportRespond appropriately to patient status
changes and coordinate care with physicians and support
staffCollaborate with and learn from preceptors, charge nurses, and
interdisciplinary team membersProgressively assume independent
patient assignments as part of the preceptor programSupport safety
initiatives, infection control protocols, and hospital quality
improvement activitiesKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEGraduate of an
accredited nursing programActive Registered Nurse license with the
State of Alaska (or ability to obtain prior to start)Current BLS
certification required; ACLS preferred or obtained within a
specified timeframePALS required within 6 months (specialty
certifications required for OB/ICU roles)Strong communication,
documentation, and critical thinking skillsWillingness to learn and

combined 22-bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28-bed Long
Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai
Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. Nurses experience a close-knit,
team-based environment with the flexibility to float between units
as needed—making it an ideal setting for new graduates to gain
broad clinical experience.Due to the nature of the work, there is
exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and potential for
