Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites qualified applicants to join us in a
supportive learning role as a Nurse Extern in our Post-Surgical
Care unit. This unique opportunity is designed to provide hands-on
experience in post-operative patient care under the direct
supervision of our experienced nursing staff. You will assist in
managing patient recovery, recording vital signs, and preparing
them for discharge. This role is pivotal in enhancing your nursing
skills while contributing to the recovery and comfort of our
patients. Assist in the preparation and recovery of post-operative
patients. Monitor and record patient vital signs. Support nursing
staff with clinical tasks including equipment sterilization and
medication preparation. Provide patients with basic care and
comfort. Educate and update patients and families on post-surgical
care procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A
keen eye for detail and strong observational skills. Ability to
follow strict health and safety guidelines. Competence in using
medical instruments and technology. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support
(BLS) Certification required. Certification as a Certified Nursing
Assistant (CNA) preferred.
