Job Description:

The Live-In Travel Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides services to Hope support recipients through their temporary management of an Assisted Living Home (home). The Live-In Travel DSP replaces the permanent live-in for short- or long-term assignments, covering for regularly scheduled days off, extended leave, or when the position is vacant. This position ensures the health and safety of the support recipients and provides a wide range of services. Services provided includes teaching of living skills, social and communication skills, and other needed life skills for social independence and community inclusion. The Live-In Travel DSP may lead a team of direct support employees who work in the home, ensuring the implementation of the support plan(s). This position is responsible for being in the home unless accompanying a support recipient in the community, conducting Agency business, on approved time away or on a designated day off. The Live-In Travel DSP is cross trained to work in a variety of different homes, and with support recipients requiring a range of supports or care needs. The Live-In Travel DSP's schedule is consistent, but the temporary home assigned varies frequently. Schedule Schedules may include, but are not limited to: 12 days on, 2 days off
1 week on, 1 week off
1 month on, 1 month off * Out of State applicants encouraged to apply, no relocation needed. * Pay $274 - $315 Daily DOE Job Duties Provides overall leadership and day-to-day management of an assigned Assisted Living Home.
Supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines employees through teaching, coaching and mentoring.
Operates the home within Hope's, and each support recipient's, budgetary guidelines. Responsible for the home and support recipients' funds and monthly reports.
Ensures wholesome meal preparation
Ensures appropriate cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of physical site (home and grounds) and home vehicle.
Provides, or schedules employees to provide, personal care and support services required for each support recipient, including, but not limited to, activities of daily living and community activities.
Ensures goals and objectives are being worked on as outlined in the Support Plan.
Coordinates, and provides, if necessary, transportation to meet support recipients' schedules,
Monitors support recipients' health and ensures each support recipient follows medical orders and medication instructions, under the direction of the support recipient's physician and/or Hope nursing employees. Education High school diploma or GED required. Experience Two years of experience providing direct support services required.
Experience working with individuals who experience challenging behaviors preferred; one year supervisory or administrative experience preferred. Benefits Overview Excellent Corporate Culture
