Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac Catheterization Lab Location: Soldotna, AK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,147 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiac Services Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 8H Days Mon-Fri Hours per Shift: 7am-3:30pm, on call as needed Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiac cath or interventional radiology License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC within six months of hire Must-Have: Graduate of a school of nursing Experience with patients undergoing moderate sedation Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology Knowledge of 12-Lead EKG interpretation Familiarity with physiologic monitoring and pacemaker operations Ability to use radiographic equipment as assigned Description: Performs the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all patients in Cardiac Services during the assigned shift. Responsible for meeting established standards of Intensive Nursing Practice. Manages all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the unit. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Under general supervision, performs professional nursing, technical, and administrative duties as they relate to the cardiac services department. Performs circulating, scrubbing, and hemodynamic monitoring duties with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Provides care, assessment, and instruction to patients prior to, during, and after procedures. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures. Ability to provide comprehensive care in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols, including moderate sedation. Participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives is expected. Responsible for ensuring safety and adherence to infection control practices. Demonstrates professional behavior and maintains a positive attitude at all times. Maintains effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
