Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work in 20-bed Emergency Department with 4 hall beds • Various shift times available: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 7:00 PM starts • Patient ratios of 4:1 (unless low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients, then 6:1) • Rotating weekends required • Must have Alaska RN license at time of submission • Prior Emergency Department experience required • Stroke and STEMI experience preferred • Trauma and pediatric experience preferred • Work with equipment including Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I-stat, EPOC, GE monitors • Use EPIC electronic medical records system • Perform typical ED RN duties plus splinting and breathing treatments • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with appropriate fit (not tight or revealing) • Must be flexible, transparent, positive, outgoing, efficient, and a team player Facility: This healthcare facility features a busy Emergency Department with 20 headwall beds and 4 hall beds, serving as a comprehensive trauma and emergency care center. The facility maintains a full staffing model with charge nurses, flow coordinators, registered nurses, emergency department technicians, and unit secretaries across all shifts. The department is equipped with advanced emergency medical equipment and utilizes EPIC electronic medical records for patient care coordination.
