ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with block scheduling • Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends) • Weekend coverage required every other weekend • Up to 40 guaranteed hours per week • 52 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC • 2 years of emergency room experience required • First-time travelers accepted • No on-call or floating requirements • Maximum of one week RTO allowed, must be made up at end of contract • Must work facility holiday schedule which may include 3 out of 4 major holidays • Care for patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics • Handle Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma cases and behavioral health population • Work in 40-bed main ED with 7 hallway and 16 hold overflow beds • Daily census of approximately 165 cases/day • Required to wear navy scrubs • Use Cerner charting system • Cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population required • Must have Alaska state license prior to start (compact accepted at submittal) • Locals within 100-mile radius not accepted • COVID and flu vaccines required with no exemptions Facility: This 152-bed acute care hospital is a Magnet-designated facility serving as a tertiary care center. The emergency department features 47 total beds including main ED and overflow areas, equipped with specialized equipment including ultrasound IV placement devices and overhead lifts. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
