Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work in a 40-bed main emergency department with 7 hallway and 16 hold overflow beds • Maintain 1:4 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends • Handle approximately 165 cases per day with diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics • Work every other weekend as required • Guaranteed up to 40 hours per week • No floating required within the facility • No on-call responsibilities • Block scheduling available for discussion during interview • 52 hours of orientation provided • Must have 2 years of nursing experience • Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC • Alaska nursing license required prior to start (compact accepted at submittal) • Cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population required • Work with complex patient population including social history and domestic violence cases • Handle Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma cases and behavioral health population • Use Cerner charting system (EPIC experience preferred) • Wear navy scrubs (provided for L&D/OR) • Maximum one week RTO allowed but must make up time at end of contract • Expected to work holiday schedule including potentially 3 out of 4 major holidays • Work with specialized equipment including ultrasound IV placement and Kurin blood culture collection devices Facility: This acute care hospital is a Magnet-designated facility with 152 total staffed beds, serving as a tertiary facility for the Alaska Tribal Health Consortium.
