Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work in Level II Adult and
Pediatric Trauma Emergency Department with 1:4 patient ratios •
Handle daily census of 165 cases/day across 40 main ED beds with 7
hallway and 16 hold overflow beds • Weekend coverage required every
other weekend • Guaranteed up to 40 hours per week • Block
scheduling available for discussion during interview • 52 hours of
orientation required • No on-call or floating requirements •
Maximum one week RTO allowed but must make up time at the end •
Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC • 2 years of
experience required, first-timers accepted • Must obtain Alaska
license prior to starting (Compact accepted at time of submittal) •
Navy scrubs required (L&D/OR scrubs provided) • Cerner charting
system experience preferred • Cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native
population required • Care for complex patient population including
behavioral health conditions • Serve patients of all age groups
from neonates to geriatrics • Work with specialized equipment
including ultrasound IV placement and Kurin blood culture
collection devices • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with no
exemptions • Must work facility holiday schedule potentially
including 3 out of 4 major holidays Facility: This acute care
hospital is a 152-bed Magnet facility serving as a tertiary care
center for the Alaska Tribal Health Consortium. The facility
specializes in providing comprehensive emergency and trauma
services to Alaska Native populations from throughout the state.
