ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with block scheduling available • Patient ratios of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends • Weekend coverage required every other weekend • Guaranteed up to 40 hours per week • Maximum one week RTO allowed but must make up at the end • Expected to work holiday schedule which may include 3 out of 4 major holidays • 52 hours of orientation provided • 2 years of nursing experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC • No on-call responsibilities • No floating required within unit • Must have cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population • Navy scrubs required (L&D/OR scrubs provided) • Charting system: Cerner (Epic preferred) • Work in 40-bed main ED with 7 hallway and 16 hold overflow beds • Handle approximately 165 cases/visits per day • Treat Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma cases and behavioral health population • Care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Work with complex patient population with extensive social history including domestic violence cases • Alaska license required prior to starting (compact accepted at submittal) • Must live minimum 100 miles from facility (locals not accepted) • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with no exemptions • Complete modules during orientation averaging 4-5 billable hours Facility: This acute care hospital is a 152-bed Magnet-designated facility serving as a tertiary care center for the Alaska Tribal Health Consortium.
