Physician Assistant | Rheumatology Location: Wasilla, AK Employer: Curative Pay: $97,760 to $156,000 per year Start Date: ASAP About the Position Physician Assistant, Rheumatology, in Alaska Full Benefits Package Offered Amazing Location and Experience to Live in Alaska We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Physician Assistant (Rheumatology) to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Practice medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. PAs exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services and may include responsibility for administrative duties and includes additional duties. Essential Functions Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses and conditions, including giving injections. Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases. Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care. Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies, including the use of CPR. Counsel patient/family on preventive health care. Provides oversight as needed for the infusion department Four years of health care experience before applying to the PA program, plus one year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinical setting.
