Veterinary Medical Care is an essential business and PET Emergency Treatment, Inc. is looking for Veterinary Technicians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our team who share our dedication to protecting our clients, staff, patients, and community.--We are seeking an Internal Medicine Specialty Veterinary Technician to join our team in practicing the highest quality medicine that Alaska provides!--This individual will work closely with our Internal Medicine Specialist to provide care to animals suffering from a wide range of illnesses, including those related to the:Cardiovascular systemRespiratory systemDigestive systemResponsibilities include:Performing diagnostic testsAdministering medicationsMonitoring the progress of treatmentHelping plan effective treatment strategiesProviding ongoing patient careEducating pet owners about their animals' health, including disease risks and preventative careIdeal candidate qualifications:Deep understanding of animal anatomy and physiologyKnowledge of current medical treatments and techniquesStrong communication and organizational skillsCompassionate and empathetic approach to patient careAbility to remain calm and effective in emergency situationsYou will play an essential role in the care and treatment of animals and are vital to our success!LVT credentialing is preferred, but we will also consider job-trained candidates with strong experience.--Schedule:4/10s ---WeekdaysOvertime occasionally necessaryVarious shifts available.
