Description: - Specialty: Social Work - Location: Bethel, Alaska - Pay: By The Week, after 40,, Depending on experience - Shift Time: M-F Days - Weekly Hours: 40 Qualifications: - Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. - Licensure: Current state licensure as a Social Worker or equivalent. - Experience: Previous experience as a Social Worker, especially in a clinical or healthcare setting, is preferred. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting assessments, providing counseling, and utilizing therapeutic techniques. - Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, empathy, active listening, and crisis intervention skills. - Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards. - Physical Requirements: Capable of conducting home visits, traveling to various locations, and assisting clients with mobility when necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify their social, emotional, and psychological needs and challenges. - Treatment Planning: Develop individualized care plans and treatment goals based on assessment findings, and implement evidence-based interventions and strategies. - Counseling: Provide counseling and therapeutic services to individuals and groups, addressing issues such as mental health, substance abuse, grief, trauma, and family dynamics. - Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources, services, and support systems, while collaborating with community agencies and organizations. - Case Management: Coordinate and monitor clients' care by connecting them to relevant community resources, healthcare providers, and social services. - Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations, providing emotional support and crisis intervention to clients in distress. - Education: Educate clients and their families about available resources, coping strategies, and skills to improve their overall well-being. - Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and ethical standards. - Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and educators, to ensure comprehensive care. - Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach and educational programs to raise awareness and promote mental health and social well-being.
