Medical Laboratory Scientist *Part Time* - Providence Anchorage

timely laboratory testing to support disease diagnosis and
treatment, providing technical expertise within a healthcare
setting. This part-time position requires a bachelor's degree in
medical technology or a related science, along with nationally
recognized certification or eligibility for certification within
one year of hire. The role offers comprehensive benefits and aligns

health improvement. Description Provides accurate, timely, and
cost-effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in
diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to
Providence Alaska Medical Center and other institutions. Meets and
exceeds functional criteria for Medical Laboratory Technician II.

Scientist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in
Anchorage, AK! Position is part-time, 0.8 FTE, 8-hr Evening shifts,

medical technology or clinical Lab Science or equivalent
educ/experience Education and training equivalent to a bachelor's
degree in a chemical, physical or biological science with
sufficient clinical laboratory experience on human specimens to
meet Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist
(MT) certification requirements through a nationally accrediting
agency, e.g. American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the
American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Medical Laboratory
Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 1 year
of hire. Or National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American
Society for Clinical Pathology within 1 year of hire. Or National
Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts within 1
year of hire. Or National Medical Technologist - American Medical
Technologists within 1 year of hire. Or National Medical
Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 1

for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage
range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base
pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role,
