Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters *Part Time* - Providence

Mental Health Counselor is a licensed clinical professional
providing psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment
planning, and crisis intervention in an emergency department
setting. This part-time role involves direct patient care,
telephonic consultation, and coordination with community mental
health services. The position requires a master's degree in a
related field and relevant clinical licensure in Alaska, plus at
least three years of mental health experience. Description The
Clinical Assessment Specialist is a licensed professional with a
master's degree in the social services fields. They serve as a
member of the emergency/acute care clinical team to provide
psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and
implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in
both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments. Other
services provided are telephonic and in-person dissemination of up
to date referral information regarding community programs,
telephonic consultation with multi-disciplinary professionals in
the community, 24 Hour Crisis Line call management and assistance
for all inquiries regarding Mental Health Services and matching
patient needs with services and reimbursement sources. Providence

Position is Part-time, 0.6 FTE, Night shifts, 24 hours per week.

other related field or Ph.D. in Psychology or other related field
Alaska Masters Social Worker License upon hire. Or Alaska Clinical
Social Worker License upon hire. Or Alaska Psychologist License
upon hire. Or Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License upon
hire. Or Alaska Professional Counselor License upon hire. 3 years

range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
