Controls Technician for an established Energy Management & Controls
Systems firm in Alaska. Must be a local resident or willing to
relocateThe DDC Controls Technician is responsible for testing,
servicing and repairing complex building automation systems to
conform with project specifications and customer
requirements.Duties
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency
service calls on existing BMS systems.
- Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without
direct supervision.
- Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service
needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of
customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance
standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and
sequences are developed.
- Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and
perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing
systems.
- Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on
estimating additional work.
- Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up,
tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems.
- Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs,
Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water
Systems, and Lighting.
- Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings
strategies.
- Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve
the installation process.
- Utilize Automated Logic's Dealer website and stay current on
technical data and solutions for existing problems and
updates.
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by
management.Qualifications
- Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC
Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration
and experience with pneumatic controls.
- Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools and field
circuit debugging skills.
- Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in
mechanical/electrical fields.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical
drawings.
- Strong communication, organizational and documentation
skills.
- Proven track record of completing projects, being
self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction.Interested in
