Description $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Patient Care Technician (PCT) - 4 North Surgical at Providence Alaska Medical Center Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care. Required qualifications:

• Completion of Medical Terminology course -or- successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire Preferred qualifications:
  • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
