history.Electrical Avionics Technician Are you ready to put your
years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense
Systems Sector is seeking a Electrical Avionics Technician to join
our growing team in Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.You will
become part of Northrop Grumman's Sustaining Engineering &
Solutions (SE&S) team. SE&S provides sustainment support
for the US Air Force B-2 Bomber, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and
Control System, HC-130J Hercules, and numerous other Government
platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse
engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex
obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter
supportability.Candidate will be required to perform physically
demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access
quarters, climbing 20 feet ladders and standing for long
periods.Responsibilities:
- Performs pre-flight, periodic, and unscheduled maintenance on
HC-130J SACU systems
- Documents maintenance using aircraft forms and local
maintenance information systems such as Integrated Maintenance Data
systems (IMDS) and GO81
- Maintain, configure, and control off equipment SACU
components
- Supports worldwide deployments for assigned units as
needed
- Works with government, military and staff on and assist with
schedule development, preparing correspondence and reports of a
technical nature and other duties as required supporting a
collaborative team process
- Provides technical advice, training, and troubleshooting
assistance to organizational level technicians and maintenance
leadership for operation and repair of the aircraft SACU
systems
- Conducts technical analysis of product implementations,
modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with
specific customer specifications and implementations
- Provide 24 hours per day, 365 days per year immediate response
to emergencies, incidents, and investigations
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues for the equipment
related to HC-130J SACU systems; determines technical solution in
accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends
actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative
product solution
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer
specifications
- Collaborates with other teammates and reach-back to engineering
for problem analysis and resolution
- Conducts technical training and product briefing with
customers, vendors and company representatives
- Acts as local on-site representative to customer's
organization
- Coordinates reach back support with engineering and program
management teams
- Documents procedures not included in Technical Orders and
prepares AFTO 22s for implementationBasic Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of related
experience; Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related
experience; Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related
experience. An additional 2 years of related work experience may be
considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Experience in the sustainment of military systems and
equipment
- Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)
Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in
Elmendorf-Richardson, AK
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain certification
as a DoD Information Assurance Level (II) technician. DoD IA Level
II certification includes: A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, CySA+,
CCNA Security, GICSP, or GSECPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM field
- A current DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)
- Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace
industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations,
or commercial industrial technology companies)
- Experience with HC-130J Airframe, electronics, or mission
system trouble shooting and repair
- Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals,
overseeing parts ordering system, quality control inspections
- Experience with use and interpretation of HC-130J aircraft
systems such as diagnosing malfunctions and identifying systemic
performance problems in conjunction with technical data
- Experience with networking and Information Technology
systemsNGLinkedDSSalary Range: $32 USD - $32 USD Employees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
