We believe in providing value for our customers and communities.Position Summary: This position is responsible for spreading the financial statement information of borrowers/companies and industries, and for performing research/analysis related to projects such as industry studies, loan administration, basic financial analysis, and other duties as may be assigned by Management. This position embraces Northrim's mission, vision and values and provide superior customer first service. Job Functions and Responsibilities ---Gather and review routine credit information for loans. ---Spread financial/credit information. ---Analyze financial statements. ---Determine trends. ---Identify credit issues and key credit risks. ---Calculate cash flow and ability to service debt payments. ---Evaluate collateral values. ---Calculate financial ratios. ---Consult with Officers of Account to resolve questions. ---Conduct research on various credit related topics as assigned. ---Provide written analysis of the financial statements including global cash flow, debt service coverage, financial ratios and other complex financial topics unique to each customer. ---Monitor and follow-up on the receipt of financial statements for large borrowers. ---Provide support to officers of account in preparation of credit presentations to approval committees/or designated approver. ---Prepare various loan portfolio reporting. ---Prepare reports that include risks and concerns associated with borrowers. ---Compile data from credit histories and financial statements. Performs credit history investigations on new and existing customers through the use of third party credit reports. ---Research payment issues. ---Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations while performing the functions of the position. ---Maintain customer confidence and protects the Bank by keeping information confidential. ---Assist lenders with underwriting, documenting and managing customer relationships. ---Other duties as assigned by Management. Participate and engage in outreach to fellow employees and community functions. ---Branch, Department, Bank-wide Business Plans: Support the Bank and departmental Business Plan by working efficiently and achieve outlined goals. Endorse department/marketing campaigns and make quality suggestions to enhance profitability. ---Regulation, Policy and Procedures: Adhere to Northrim's policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations. Assist management to achieve satisfactory audit results by accurate and timely completion of assigned certifications, maintaining effective controls and current procedures. Identify fraudulent activity and help others to prevent potential losses. Safeguard confidentiality of customer information per the Information Security Policy and procedures. Measurable Production Guidelines ---Complete assigned tasks within department standards for accuracy and timeliness. ---Prepare all spread requests and analysis functions within required time frames. ---Ensure that all required timelines are met in the facilitation of the processes required for obtaining credit approvals. ---Complete reports as assigned within required timeframes. ---Participate in and complete all required training throughout the year. Qualifications Education/Work Experience ---Two years of college level accounting classes required. ---Equivalent combination of education and related work experience in loan production, loan servicing or loan documentation may be considered. ---Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience. Knowledge ---Thorough working knowledge of corporate financial statements and commercial/corporate structure. ---Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. ---Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, ability to analyze business and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, and collateral. Analytical & Decision Making Skills ---Work is somewhat complex. Use logic and reasoning to analyze financial and credit information. Analytical and problem solving skills required. ---Ability to work under general direction from manager and complete work independently with minimal supervision or guidance. ---Ability to set priorities and meet established deadlines. ---Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and accuracy. ---Must be a critical thinker, detail oriented, and have the ability to develop and implement plans. Communication Skills ---Ability to competently read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comprehend, analyze, and effectively communicate business memorandums, technical procedures, and government regulations. ---Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with staff, and management both written and verbally. ---Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills and communicate information in a positive and professional manger. Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills ---Ability to navigate through developed spreadsheets, databases and models used in balancing daily work. ---Able to comprehend and respond to new software and program upgrades. ---Capable of operating PCs and standard office equipment. ---Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
