As Alaska's largest oil and gas producer, the company produced an average 182 thousand barrels of oil and 9 million cubic feet of gas per day. Description If you are selected as the Chief of Maintenance, you will be responsible for promoting ConocoPhillips SPIRIT values while performing administrative and technical maintenance activities associated with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 125 and Part 91 aircraft operated by ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Your responsibilities may include: - Provide safe, airworthy and reliable aircraft around the flight schedule demands of ConocoPhillips Alaska while ensuring the most efficient use of resources and personnel - Ensure all applicable FAA regulations, ConocoPhillips Manuals and policies, and industry standards are followed - Locally serve as a member of the Alaska Aviation Leadership Team that directly reports to the CPA Director of Operations and will be responsible for providing necessary maintenance information pertinent to the Alaska Aviation Operation - Maintain a dotted line reporting responsibility to the ConocoPhillips Global Aviation Director of Maintenance to ensure continuity of all maintenance policies and procedures - Continually review internal policies, manuals, and forms for applicability, accuracy, and pertinence and collaborate with the Director of Maintenance prior to changes - Supervise, monitor and review performance of all Maintenance Coordinators and Aircraft Technicians - Interact and coordinate with the FAA as necessary to meet all requirements associated with the continued maintenance and operation of company aircraft - Coordinate heavy maintenance, inspection and alterations in such a way to improve schedule availability - Communicate with various airline companies, manufactures and organizations within the airline industry to keep current in safety, regulatory, maintenance and financial issues pertaining to our operation - Communicate with Alaska Aviation department managers on issues concerning aircraft availability, maintenance and modifications - Review invoices for accuracy and approve for payment - Partner with supply chain to review, recommend and negotiate as necessary all contracts associated with maintenance on company aircraft, engines and components - Develop and maintain positive relationships within the aviation industry and be willing to participate in applicable Steering committees - The Chief of Maintenance shall maintain a current copy of the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 145 Repair Station/Contractor's General Policy and Procedure, the FAA Approved Inspection Program, CPA's Maintenance Policy & Procedures Manuals as well as all appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations/Airworthiness Directives Basic/Required: - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee - 10+ years experience in the aviation maintenance industry - Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license - Advanced knowledge of aviation industry trends, regulations and practices as they relate to aircraft maintenance and its management - Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to perform/align with the following: - - Be on call - Travel 15% on an annual basis - Safely perform strenuous physical activity such as lifting, bending, carrying material and climbing ladders/stairs every day Preferred: - Experience with Q400 aircraft - Leadership, organizational and maintenance planning experience, as well as technical and computer skills - Inspection authorization and/or other designations, as well as experience and knowledge to further positive interactions with the FAA - Must be familiar with the operation of the usual tools and equipment required for aircraft maintenance - Takes ownership of actions and follows through on dedications by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right - Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals - Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of December 5, 2019.
