Market Sector Leader, we'll count on you to:
- Have a focus on client management and development, serving as a
client manager and project manager for future assignments and
pursuits with key clients in the area
- Identify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit
champion, and act as a resource for HDR pursuits
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large
multi-disciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high
degree of technical complexity
- Assess the marketplace and determine the best business approach
to win and secure contracts
- Collaborate with other market sectors and business groups
- Serve as the Client Manager for key clients within the region,
and be active and visible in the industry
- Promote the marketing and delivery of HDR services to clients
alongside our client managers
- Work with Business Group Managers on developing and delivering
market sector initiatives
- Drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven
capture techniques
- Support pursuits through relationship development and strategic
planning
- Participate in industry associations and serve as a role model
in business and community organizations
- Identify key investments to maintain or enhance HDR's industry
leadership
- Develop relationships with industry counterparts and senior
client leaders
- Enhance practices to improve market competitiveness and staff
development
- Lead recruitment efforts for future market sector
employees
- Coordinate work-sharing among departments and support technical
excellence
- Identify needs for new technical services and products
- Coordinate staffing and recruiting plans for key hires
- Support talent management and resource planning
- Assist in project delivery, monitor profit and loss, and
support QA/QC programs
- Facilitate cooperation and remove barriers to success
- Monitor performance indicators and implement process
improvements
- Manage staff workload and promote effective resource use
- Assist with contract reviews and risk management
- Promote quality assurance and technical expertise
- Disseminate lessons learned and take on project management
assignments as appropriatePreferred Qualifications
- Experience with Alaska power projects#LI-JM8Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or a related
field
- At least 10 years of industry experience
- Experience in strategic marketing and client relationship
management
- Experience in staff development and industry engagement
- Ability to collaborate with various leadership roles
