Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and
tenureResponsibilitiesSchedule: Sunday-Friday with one floating day
off and Saturday off. 6:00AM-2:30PMThe RoleHand Packager must
ensure produce items are packaged in accordance to customer's
specifications (eaches/weight) while meeting quality and
productivity standards.--Essential Responsibilities Include, but
Not Limited ToReviews assignment sheet and reports to appropriate
work stationApplies lables as necessary to individual
containersFolds/Tapes corrugated boxesFills individual containers
(bags or boxes) with specific quanitity or weight of produce item
or itemsWeighs individual packages to verify that the correct
weight/amount of product is enclosedSets packaged items in totes
maintaining a FIFO (First in first out) dating systemSorts
tomatoes. Removes tomatoes that are production grade and places in
separate box designated for processingPlace/stack trays of finished
product on to palletAt end of shift, the employee is responsible
for cleaning the work table and surrounding area. This includes
wiping down table with a rag and sanitizer and sweeping floorOther
duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Skills and
ExperienceAbility to comprehend simple instructionsAbility to
perform simple mathematical calculations (reading scale)Ability to
comprehend verbal instructions and follow that instructionAbility
to read and write conversational EnglishRequired ExperienceProduce
experience is a plus, but not a necessityFood handling experience
is a plus, but not a necessityAlaskan Food Handler's card is a
