is responsible for the intake, guidance and resolution of employee
relations related inquiries and concerns regarding policies,
procedures, grievances, and varied workplace concerns from
employees. Work involves a wide variety of functions regarding
grievance and related employee relation activities; investigates
employee complaints or grievances; assesses training needs;
provides reports as needed.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are
intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties
performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all
duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Shares responsibility to ensure compliance with federal, state,
and local employment laws, BSNC policies and collective bargaining
agreements.
- Handles a high volume of employee relations inquiries and
conducts thorough and timely investigations of employee concerns,
regarding violations of company policies, allegations of
discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misconduct, inappropriate
behavior, and various human resource issues.
- Documents investigations and in some cases makes sound and
reasonable recommendations to management.
- Provides training to employees and leaders on topics including
investigations, grievance hearings, documentation and conflict
resolution.
- Takes the lead on EEOC compliance, reports, and
complaints.
- Proactively provides recommendations on opportunities to
improve the work environment, based on feedback received during
employee relation matters. -QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS -
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job

- Bachelor\u2019s degree in HR or experience may substitute for
degree.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations and
familiarity with compliance processes.
- Interview skills and experience
- Ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced
environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and
workloads.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and strong writing skills

valid Commercial Driver\u2019s License (CDL) and Medical
Examiner\u2019s Certificate (MEC).
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding

functions. WORK ENVIRONMENTWork Environment characteristics
described here are representative of those that must be borne by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this
job. - The Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to
computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer,
keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work
described herein is primarily in a modern office setting.
Occasional travel may be required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
