Linen Service Specialist/Representative at Providence Extended
This full time position duties are the following:
- Collects soiled linen and resident's personals. Weighs and
sorts soiled linen and personals.
- Loads linen and personals into washer and dispenses cleaning
- Dries Linen and personals for specified time cycles.
- Sorts dried personals according to resident identified laundry
mesh bags or labels. Folds/hangs and places items in appropriate
cart for delivery.
- Delivers all clothing and linen to residents and other
departments as appropriate.
- Ensures mess bags have required identification tags affixed.
Replaces worn bags and tags as necessary.
- Labels residents personal clothing per labeling protocol.
Routinely inspects clothing for missing labels and replaces as
- Maintains equipment in good working condition. Notifies staff
maintenance mechanic of any equipment deficiencies. Cleans and
sanitizes equipment on a daily basis.
- If position requires driving, a valid driver's license and
proof of insurance per company policy will be required

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within
Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving
nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a
variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all
ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses.
Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care
and care through the end of life. Our service lines include
assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home
infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and
palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly
