Under the supervision of the Operations Support Manager, the Logistics Clerk for LifeMed Alaska, (LMA) performs day-to-day clerical tasks involved with providing logistical support to Ground, Flight, and, on occasion, Administration Operations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSJOB DUTIES1. Logistics Operational Supporta. Assists with the daily receiving, stocking, of medical supplies, drugs, and equipment.b. Records new inventory and equipment into inventory management software.c. Vendor follow up's on pending purchasing backorders and equipment repair tickets.d. Organizes uniform stock and fulfills uniform requests.e. Maintains housekeeping of the backstock and spare equipment cabinets and shelves. Communicate with logistics purchaser to fill needs.f. Organizes backup biomedical and fleet equipment.g. Records and tracks equipment issued to and returned from bases. Communicates discrepancies to the Operations Support Manager.h. Fulfills supply orders for backstock and outlying bases supply rooms utilizing inventory management system.i. Assists with the inventory of medications and medical supplies on a routine basis.j. Support the Logistics Coordinator on daily tasks, as needed.k. Conduct logistics-related tasks as determined by the Operations Support Manager.l. May be asked to travel to bases, as needed, for Logistics-related projects/tasks.m. Disposes expired non-controlled substance medications and medical supplies, as per FDA and DEA regulations.n. Maintain, update and be proficient on logistics related databases and software.o. Maintains positive relations with all vendors associated with Logistics.p. Deliver quality customer service to the internal and external customer. 2. Administration Supporta. Support Admin operations on tasks as needed.b. Assists the Anchorage Flight crew with the daily housekeeping of the Anchorage hangar. c. Assists the Fleet and Facility manager in the basic maintenance of LifeMed Alaska fleet and facilities, as needed.d. Other duties to support LifeMed Alaska's operations as assigned.e. Actively participate in LifeMed Alaska's safety culture.QUALITY/EDUCATION DUTIES:1. Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities. Continually seeks ways to enhance company performance, safety, efficiencies and effectiveness.2. Contribute to development of quality improvement standards related to relevant program activities. 3. Communicate problem resolution and offers ideas and support for quality service delivery. 4. Maintain all required certification and training education. Assume responsibility for own attendance at all scheduled training sessions to maintain, improve or knowledge and skills.5. Actively seek opportunities for professional development. Support team members who participate in teaching activities and/or participate in teaching opportunities within the flight program, ground program or healthcare region.6. Participate in the orientation and training of all new employees when assigned.GENERAL1. Adopt the LMA Code of Ethics and Conduct policy into individual practice. Demonstrate knowledge of and participation in maintaining an ethical environment during all LMA activities and associations.2. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.3. Adopt the LMA Values into individual practice.4. Participate in marketing and promotion of LMA by supporting organizational goals, professional conduct, exhibiting organizational pride and delivery of the highest quality service possible.5. Enhance efficiency and add value to the Logistics team by consistently looking for ways to improve processes and service levels for our patients (AND/OR internal customers).6. (Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience)Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Licensure: Current, valid Driver's License required. Experience: Minimum one year of clerical/logistics experience. Medical background desired.Other Required Competencies and Abilities: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, familiarity with web-based databases. Excellent organization and communication skills. The ability to work productively with minimal supervision.Attendance: Regular attendance is required for this position.
