It is a 2-year term, non-tenure track position with primary teaching and clinical supervision responsibility in the M.S. program in Clinical Psychology. Duties: 100% Teaching and clinical supervision responsibility in the M.S. program in Clinical Psychology and directorship of the Psychological Services Center. In addition to teaching, this position will include departmental governance and other service as needed as part of a bipartite workload assignment. The Clinical Director of the PSC will supervise the day to day operations of the PSC, manage and approve all clinic activities and scheduling, and supervise the PSC Coordinator. The Clinical Director administers the PSC physical plant including its technology, general maintenance, and budget. In collaboration with clinical faculty, the Director will maintain adherence to the APA Code of Ethics and APA accreditation requirements. Finally, the PSC Clinical Director will develop and maintain contacts with mental health agencies and emergency services both on the UAA campus (Dean of Students office, Student Health and Counseling Center, UAA Care Team, UPD) and in Southcentral Alaska (Hospitals- including E.R.s and outpatient Behavioral Health Services), community mental health centers, Alaska Native service centers (CITCI, Southcentral Foundation, ANTHC) and the community of practicing psychologist and psychological associates through their statewide guild (AK-PA). For more information about living in Anchorage, consult.Primary duties include teaching and clinical supervision responsibility in the M.S. program in Clinical Psychology (see ) and directorship of the PSC, the training clinic for M.S. and Ph.D. students in Psychology. Specific courses taught will depend on the successful applicant's expertise and departmental needs but might include Psychotherapy Practicum, Clinical Practicum, and Psychotherapy Internship. In addition to teaching, this faculty member would be expected to serve as the PSC Director and contribute to departmental governance and other service (see Psychological Services Center ). The PSC is the training clinic for graduate students in the M.S. program in Clinical Psychology and the Ph.D. program in Clinical-Community Psychology. The training in the PSC prepares students for three different licenses (Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Psychologist) in the state of Alaska.The Clinical Director of the PSC supervises the day to day operations of the PSC, manages and approves all clinic activities and scheduling, and supervises the PSC Coordinator.
