Location: Clitheroe Residential Center in Anchorage, AK FLSA Status: Full Time/40 hours per week; Non-Exempt Education and Work Experience: + Bachelor's degree in field related to social services preferred + One years' experience in the field of substance abuse, homelessness, or related field required in addition to a bachelor's degree. Three years' experience can be substituted for a bachelor's Scope of Position/Essential Functions: The Residential Clinical Coordinator will assist clinical manager with implementation of program expectations, work with staff and clients to assist and complete all case management (medical, legal and re-entry) needs, oversee the facilitation of RLS group, direct peer support mentorship and advocacy, and oversee tasks carried out by administrative assistant. The Residential Clinical Coordinator maintains and enhances treatment capabilities by training, coaching, and monitoring the Residential Case Manager, Recovery Life Skills Coach, Peer Support Specialists, and the Residential Administrative Assistant. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: + Skilled in case management, discharge planning, housing and job search activities, and working with persons with mental health and substance use disorders. + Knowledge of cross-cultural issues and DBH requirements. + Knowledge of peer support mentorship, advocacy, and recovery support + Understanding of trauma-informed care. + Alaska driver's license with acceptable criminal history and driving records. + Ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative work environment and to work with a minimum of supervision + Proficient with general office equipment including computers and related software, with Windows applications, databases, and report-generating software. + Familiarity with AKAIMS preferred. + Ability to complete multiple tasks, meet deadlines, observe confidentiality, remain self-motivated, and work with a minimum of supervision. Essential Functions: + Assign recovery buddy, room, and input admit medications into EHR for admitting clients + Create MAR's in collaboration with Nurse + Assist Nurse with development of medical policies and procedures in accordance with state regulations, train staff on those policies as needed + Review and approve seek own medical requests for department of corrections furlough clients + Manage operations forms to include but not limited to medical and therapeutic pass's, medication refill & request forms, MAR's forms, etc. + Organize medication room and oversees staff performing self-administration of medication, provide training as necessary. + Supervise daily functions of over the counter and stored medications to include inventory and ordering + Preview and approve all medical, legal and re - entry passes to ensure clinical relevance + Supervise and assist in all case management needs to include but not limited to medical, legal, housing and re-entry + Manages all communication with landlords, housing managers and other agencies for client re entry + Request Medicaid travel for clients + Oversee daily functions & operations of client canteen and donations to include disbursement, inventory and ordering to insure client needs and clinical relevance + Oversee inventory of all clinical workbooks and supplies + Review and approves procurement and donation outings for clients + Coordinate in house and outings of support groups to include approving speakers, etc. + Receive all clinical, medical and furlough on-call after hours calls during assigned weeks + Document client services in the electronic health records system. + Provide supervision for Residential Case Manager, Recovery Life Skills Coach, Peer Support Specialist, and Residential Administrative Assistant, provide training as needed + Performs other related duties as assigned Software-related Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel required; Lotus Notes, working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training. Language Skills: Must be able to understand, follow and give both written and oral instructions and be able to give presentations and be comfortable with public speaking. The employee must be able to use speech and hearing for ordinary and telephone conversation. Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations. Performance Skills: Must be creative, self-motivated, organized, flexible, and possess leadership skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate a telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from a computer. Ability to understand written information.
