Providence is calling a Health Physicist (Imaging Admin, Day
Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage,
Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on
our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for
all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Responsible for oversight of key radiation safety program
Evaluate proposed new uses of radioactive material for
presentation to the Radiation Safety Committee.
Supervise the record systems for all radiation surveys, wipe
tests, leak tests.
Maintain records of instrument calibrations. Provide radiation
safety support for PAMC &PIC.
Develop recommendations for radiation safety program hospital
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree of Science or Engineering in health physics or
Current certification by the American Board of Health Physics as
a Certified Health Physicist
5 years of health physics experience
Mastery of ALARA work practices
