A growing law firm, Nationally ranked in several areas, is looking to hire one or more senior attorneys or of counsel positions. Minimum 5-10 years of experience required. The firm is recognized for expertise and excellence in work product and is currently writing in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Willing to pay certain moving expenses if coming from outside of Alaska. The candidates(s) must be able to counsel, advise, and assist clients, on a variety of matters, including litigation, appellate work, and government contracting. The candidate(s) must be able to work independently and will be expected to perform high level analysis problem solving. No stuffed shirts with requisite hubris need apply. If the candidate(s) desires a mixed schedule of work from home and/or office, that may be accommodated. Support staff is well-trained and the firm maintains a collegial atmosphere-which is important to the firm culture. The candidate(s) may also come to an agreement with the firm on hour expectations and the expectation of work and work/life balance as well as salary and bonuses. Variables considered are the desire to work part-time/less than full time, such as a 3/4 schedule, or full time billable schedule. The firm currently accommodates flexible and diverse schedules with the understanding a higher level of effort may be required at certain times, which should be known in advance. The firm's mission contains four key elements: (1) providing cutting edge advice in relevant legal fields; (2) responsive and effective communication with clients to serve their unique needs; (3) accessibility for clients when they need legal services; and (4) delivering products that are top notch quality. Pay and benefits are very competitive with the opportunity of the senior attorney to grow into partnership, if the candidate(s) so desires. Pay range from $135,000-$175,000 DOE (excluding bonuses).
