Job Title: IT Business Analyst (ITBA) Overview: The IT Business Analyst (ITBA) is responsible for enhancing the quality of IT products and services by analyzing data, identifying business needs, and recommending technology-based solutions. This role involves close collaboration with business units to document and evaluate both functional and technical requirements, supporting effective decision-making and solution selection. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and assess functional and technical business requirements. Analyze data to support strategic decisions and identify opportunities for process improvement. Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and align stakeholders. Apply requirement scoring methodologies to support technology solution evaluations. Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT capabilities. Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Business Analyst (project management experience alone is not sufficient). Expertise in business process analysis and functional area specialization. Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Solid understanding of change management and business operations. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to complete Form I-9 verification. IIBA Level 1 (CCBA) certification or equivalent experience across all BABOK knowledge areas: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring Elicitation and Collaboration Requirements Life Cycle Management Strategy Analysis (including BPM) Requirements Analysis and Design Definition Solution Evaluation Preferred Qualifications: IIBA Level 2 (CBAP) certification Project management experience and relevant certification Broad understanding of enterprise IT systems and field applications Experience: 5 to 10 years in a Business Analyst or similar role with strong business engagement Highly Valued: Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry Experience working in Alaska is a plus With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
