Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Alaska, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications. Responsibilities - Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital - Patient population includes laboring, post-partum, and newborn patients in an LDRP setting - Assignment length is 13 weeks with 4x12 hour variable shifts; final schedule (days or nights) determined before start - Weekend shifts required - No on-call responsibility - Floating within scope to other hospital departments or affiliate facilities is required - Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required - Scrub color is flexible or business casual attire is permitted - Eligible candidates may have an AK RN license pending at the time of offer and must apply as soon as possible - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year - Facility provides housing and a rental car for the duration of the contract; no pets allowed and housing is typically limited to the traveler only - Travelers may only operate the facility-provided vehicle and must adhere to facility usage guidelines - Departing travelers are responsible for cleaning their housing and returning the vehicle with a full tank of gas - Permanent staff must have a minimum 3-month separation before returning as a traveler - Travelers may only work for one calendar year at this location before requiring a 6-month break Requirements - Active AK RN license or eligibility to apply immediately upon offer - Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required - Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience - Proficiency in LDRP care required - Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted - Must provide copy of valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if using facility vehicle - Minimum of 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years in a comparable setting - Must complete mandatory modules prior to start - Facility only accepts Hep B vaccination (no titers or declinations) Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630594.
