Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN
with current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
certifications, willing to float and work variable shifts at a
Level IV Trauma Critical Access Hospital. Responsibilities -
Position is based in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level IV
Trauma Critical Access Hospital - Work schedule consists of 3x12
hour shifts with variable assignments of straight days (7:00-19:00)
or nights (19:00-7:00), determined near start date - Weekend shifts
are required - Floating within the hospital and to affiliate
hospitals as needed - No on-call responsibilities - Uses Epic EMR;
Epic experience is required or strongly preferred - Patient
population consists of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
cases - Responsible for comprehensive LDRP care from admissions
through postpartum management - Expected to float to other units or
affiliate hospitals as staffing needs dictate - Housing is provided
in a one-bedroom unit; no pets allowed and additional guests must
be approved - A facility-provided vehicle is available for in-town
use, with strict usage and cleaning requirements - Scrub attire of
any color or business casual is acceptable - Must be willing to
work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and
New Year - Free parking is provided onsite - First-time travelers
are welcome to apply - Return staff must have a three-month
separation before beginning as a traveler - Maximum travel
assignment is one calendar year followed by a mandatory six-month
break before returning - Travelers who use facility housing and
vehicle are not eligible for housing or rental car stipends -
Travelers must clean housing and return vehicle fully fueled and
cleaned upon assignment completion Requirements - Active AK RN
license required, but candidates may be considered with a pending
license; must be obtained ASAP upon offer - Current BLS, ACLS, NRP,
and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required - Minimum of 1 year
of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required - LDRP clinical
skills are required - Must reside at least 50 miles from the
facility - Two supervisory references from the past three years
within a comparable setting required - Must provide valid driver's
license and proof of insurance to operate facility vehicles -
Completion of pre-start and annual training modules required -
Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccine as proof of immunity
