Job Description:
The Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage Airport, managed by JL
Hospitality Management, is seeking a qualified professional to be a
team lead to the Food & Beverage team. The Courtyard is an airport
hotel which ensures frequent business travelers and a busy bar!
Candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
and have the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
Position is not a typical Monday through Friday schedule and will
require working weekends and nights. The Food & Beverage Supervisor
is primarily responsible for assisting in the operation of the bar
(747 Lounge) and the bistro which serves breakfast and dinner, as
well as the two onsite meeting rooms.

Title: Food & Beverage Lead
Ideal Start Date: Immediately
F&B Lead- Primary Tasks/Responsibilities: --- Assists in
ordering of food and alcoholic beverages --- Assists in maintaining
proper inventories and levels for both food and beverage ---
Assists in ensuring that food, beverage and market costs remain at
or below budgeted levels --- Hands on operations in 747 lounge and
bistro, as well as assisting in the planning, organization and
promotion --- Assists in ensuring that all controls and SOPs are at
100% compliance levels --- Assists in ensuring required tools and
supplies are readily available to attendant(s) to best serve the
guest --- Act as the first management line of contact while on
shift for all guest issues regarding the bistro/lounge ---
Responsible for assisting in the sourcing, interviewing/hiring and
technical training of each bistro attendant, cook and bartender.
--- Ongoing responsibility to ensure the Courtyard culture is
maintained --- Assists the Food and Beverage Manager in promoting
"Positively Outrageous Service" from the Food and Beverage outlets
--- Assists in ensuring all financial transactions are completed
properly and within the established guidelines of the property ---
Interacting with all associates in the department providing ongoing
feedback and performance evaluation --- May be required to perform
attendant duties as needed.
--- Assume other duties/tasks as may be delegated or assigned by
the Food and Beverage Operations Manager.
Applicant Minimum Requirements: --- Legally eligible to work in the
United States
--- This person should have excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with basic knowledge of hotel related
processes and departments. --- Prior Food & Beverage, Restaurant
and/or bar, experience preferred
--- Experience working in a branded hotel a plus --- Proficiency
with MICROS POS automation or similar platform(s) desirable ---
Applicant must be personable and exhibit outstanding customer
service in guest interactions --- Appropriate business attire
