Description Providence is calling an Attendant Housekeeping (LTC
Central Services, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Seward
Mountain Haven in Seward, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers
delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care
that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and
vulnerable. $2,500 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that
meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. In this
position you will:
- Wash walls, windows, trashcans, kick boards on doors, air
exchange vents, throughout the facility as needed
- Clean and organize housekeeping cart and stock housekeeping
supplies in janitor closets
- Wipe down and clean dressers, nightstand tables, TV's, book
shelves, light fixtures, and door knobs in elders' rooms
- Clean mirrors, shelves, sinks, tiles, toilet (inside and
outside surface), and handrails in bathrooms
- Wipe walls, sinks, and hoppers (inside and outside surface) in
the soiled laundry room
- Clean trashcans and laundry buckets inside and outside
- Practice universal isolation precautions when working in all
areas of the facility
- Ensure that equipment and supplies are adequate and in good
working order. Needed repairs are reported by using maintenance
request forms.
- Assist in the orientation of new employees in the department
upon the direction of the manager
- Demonstrate dignity, respect, honesty, and integrity in working
with other staff, residents, family members, and visitors while
conducting oneself in a businesslike and professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident medical and personal
information or resident and facility financial information obtained
while performing the duties of the job and from anyone who does not
have authorized access to such information Preferred qualifications
for this position includes:
- Previous experience in a health related facility or one year in
janitorial services
- Basic floor care knowledge and knowledge in institutional
chemicals, equipment, and supplies About Providence Seward Medical
