Job Description:
Family Practice-Without OB opening in Anchorage, Alaska. This and other physician jobs brought to you by DocCafe.com Family Practitioner needed on Shemya Island (remote island off coast of Alaska) Need two physicians, one to deploy on May 18th and one to deploy on June 3 MUST have active AK license, current DEA, ACLS. Must be able to pass physical. Must have a clean background. Will need at least a month or two commitment upfront, preferably longer. Will be working in an outpatient clinic on the island. Clinic is open Mon-Fri and then will be on call on nights and weekend. Very rare that you would be called back in. Very low volume. Must be able to see all ages. Coughs, colds, possibly some suturing or casting. Anything major will call for Medevac to Alaska. Patient on the island are a mix of residents, government and military. Will mainly see adults. Total population on the island is 100 people. Will travel on military aircraft and will stay in barracks. Meals will be provided.
