Description Under supervision the Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. Responsible for reporting rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow. Interacts directly with physicians regarding the interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes in patterns. Required Qualifications: - Coursework/Training Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required with-in six (6) months of hire - 6 months experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting. Preferred Qualifications: - Coursework/Training Medical terminology course - Coursework/Training Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course - 6 months experience monitoring ECGs in an area that has the capability to monitor at least 16 patients Why Join Providence?
