a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Seward, Alaska, 99664! Job Title:

year of Long Term Care experience License: Must have an Alaska RN
license in hand Certifications: BLS required; Alaska Food Worker
Certification required (obtained during orientation) Must-Have:
Previous travel experience Description: This position is for a Long
Term Care Registered Nurse. The nurse must possess a minimum of 1
year of Long Term Care experience. Travel experience is required.
The shift is 4x12 hours or 3x12 hours, based on the traveler’s
choice. The nurse will work either days or nights, as determined by
facility needs. The patient ratio is 1:20. All caregivers are
required to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during
orientation. There is a one-time fee for this certification. The
clinician is required to have experience in various skills related
to Long Term Care. The nurse may be called off for one 12-hour
shift per 2 weeks. The facility will arrange for a vehicle for the
nurse to use while on assignment, provided certain requirements are
met. The clinician's personal vehicle insurance must cover rental
car usage for any damages or accidents. The nurse will work
primarily with adults and geriatric patients. The daily census is
40 patients. The nurse will receive support from interdisciplinary
services such as social services. Care involves patients with
diagnoses including dementia and cognitive impairments, among
others. Special procedures may include but are not limited to wound
care and administering respiratory treatments. Documents related to
licensing and qualifications should be provided before beginning
the assignment. References are required covering the last year of
employment in a comparable setting. All requirements must be
satisfied before the contract will be accepted and finalized. 5
