Job Description:

dedicated and compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health
Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team. At Headway, we

accessible. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to
patients with psychiatric disorders, managing treatment plans, and
promoting mental health awareness in the community. Conduct
psychotherapy and prescribe medications for patients with various
psychiatric disorders. Collaborate with psychiatrists,
psychologists, and other health professionals to devise effective
treatment plans. Perform patient assessments and determine
appropriate diagnoses. Monitor the effectiveness of prescribed
treatments and adjust strategies as necessary. Educate patients and
their families about mental health conditions and coping
mechanisms. Maintain accurate records of patients’ treatment plans
and progress. Participate in continuous education to stay
up-to-date with advancements in psychiatric nursing. Strong
clinical skills in psychiatric care. Proficient in the use of
electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to manage high-stress situations
calmly and effectively. In-depth knowledge of psychiatric
medications and their effects. Malpractice Insurance Current and
valid licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
(PMHNP). Board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing
Center (ANCC). Valid DEA registration.
