Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement following unit protocols • On-call availability as needed • Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles • Work with 31-bed unit following national standard nurse-to-patient ratios • 3 years of Med-Surg experience with critical thinking skills required • Active Alaska RN license required • Required certifications: Heart Saver AED and BLS (must be AHA) • Experience with EPIC charting required • Equipment utilized includes Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations • Scrubs provided by facility • Complete 3-day Meditech and OBIX training plus unit-specific orientation • Must complete medication testing within first two weeks on site • No floating to other units required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 31-bed medical-surgical unit that follows national standards for patient care and nursing practices.
