Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hour day shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of Med-Surg background with critical thinking skills License: Active state RN license Certifications: Heart Saver AED Certification, BLS Certification (must be AHA) Must-Have: Experience with EPIC charting Description: Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing. Care is provided in accordance with departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice. Equipment utilized includes Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations. The position requires a nurse to patient ratio per national standards. Dress code consists of scrubs, which are provided. Unit specific training includes Meditech and OBIX training over a three-day period, plus additional unit orientation. Completion of medication testing is required within the first two weeks on site. On-call may be required as needed.
