available.RESPONSIBILITIESUtilizes and implements the nursing
process to provide patient care at the standards established by SPH
and Seaworthy Functional Medicine.Conducts patient intakes,
including obtaining chief complaint, review of systems, medication
reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, and patient medical
history.Provides direct patient care, including but not limited to
vital signs (temp., pulse, resp., BP). Assists with pelvic exams
and gynecological procedures. Obtains InBody (body composition
scale) assessment for use during patient encounter. Orders and
prepares equipment/supplies.Oversees Functional Medicine test kit
"life cycle" including: ordering office kits, registering test
kits, patient education, scheduling provider consultation, and
scheduling patient follow-up appointment. Maintains dynamic records
of test kit life cycle status.Manage routine medication refills
based on protocols established by providers. Prescription
coordination, including pharmacy communication as needed.Provides
patient education with regard to supplement intended use, mechanism
of action and importance of adherence to supplement plan. Assists
with patient navigation in Fullscript. Manages in-office stock of
supplements from Fullscript.Serve as a patient advocate and liaison
between Seaworthy providers and outgoing referral resources. Care
coordination as needed.Follows up on outstanding patient
lab/imaging orders, and results as needed, including patient
education with regard to preparation for testing.Triage medical
calls, prioritize acuity of visit, manage patient flow, and
coordinate with front desk staff to optimize clinic
operations.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:Current Alaska Registered Nurse
license required.Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
through the American Heart Association.Proficient communication
skills for clear documentation and interaction with patients and
healthcare team.Numerical ability to calculate drug dosages
accurately.Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle
emergency situations and clinic demands efficiently.Experience in
clinical procedures and ability to adapt techniques to individual
patient needs.Knowledge of infection control practices and
adherence to safety protocols.Ability to perform under pressure,
including initiating life support measures when
necessary.Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and
teamwork.ENVIRONMENT:Based at Seaworthy Functional Medicine/South
Peninsula Hospital, a combined 22-bed critical access hospital and
28-bed long-term care facility with associated clinics, this
position involves a clean, well-maintained indoor work setting. The
role requires walking, standing for extended periods, stooping, and
lifting up to 50 pounds.You will be exposed to infectious diseases,
bloodborne pathogens, needle stick risks, and occasional muscle
strains or falls. Work hours may fluctuate depending on patient
census and clinic needs, demanding flexibility and
