Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with AK licensure, BCLS, and robotic surgery experience for a day-shift role with weekend and on-call requirements. Responsibilities - Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital - Shift options include 0645-1715 or 0845-1915 based on unit needs - Day shifts are typically scheduled as 4x10 hours from 7:00 to 17:15 - Weekend shifts required on Saturday or Sunday every weekend - On-call responsibilities required per unit needs - Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs - Care for a variety of surgical cases including trauma - Use of robotic surgical systems, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes is required - Cerner EMR is used; Epic experience is preferred - First-time travelers are accepted - OR scrubs are provided and must be worn - No additional RTO is accepted after contract signing; all requests must be agreed upon beforehand - COVID vaccination is required to work at this facility - Annual and orientation modules completed onsite via HealthStream - Free parking is available in a dedicated structure - Candidates who worked previously must be gone at least 2 years before returning as a traveler Requirements - Active AK RN license required prior to start; compact license accepted at submission only - Minimum of 2 years Operating Room RN experience required - BCLS certification required - Robotic surgery experience required - Trauma OR experience required - Familiarity with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia, and electrosurgical equipment required - Experience with arthroscopes and laparoscopes required - Cerner charting experience required; Epic experience preferred - Locals not accepted; must live at least 100 miles from facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-663444.
