Surgical First Assistant Location: Anchorage, AK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,994 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist First Assist Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: Surgical First Assist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Weekdays Hours per Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, Spine, and Robotics License: CST and CSTFA through NBSTSA Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must be patient advocates while serving as circulators in the operating room. Experience as a circulator is required. Description: This position involves working in an operating room setting. You will assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including total joints and multi-level spine fusions. You will also handle cases related to robotic surgeries. A positive outlook and willingness to work as part of a team are essential traits for this role. You will be required to participate in on-call shifts on average of 5-6 weekdays and 1 weekend shift every 8-week signup period. You will be a crucial resource for maintaining the sterile field during procedures. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols. Experience in vein harvesting is a preferred but not mandatory qualification. The work environment is dynamic with an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub technicians, and 5 surgical support technicians per shift. The patient-staff ratio will generally be 1:1.
