Description: Must have a valid Alaska RN license for an auto offer.
Shift is 4x10 days working 40 hours per week. First-time travelers
are accepted. Will be required to be on-call every fifth weekend.
Weekend on-call is mandatory every fifth weekend. Local candidates
are not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the
facility. Only one time off request per 13-week assignment for five
days or less is allowed. No holiday time off will be authorized for
auto offers. Guaranteed hours are 70 hours per two weeks; a
traveler can be called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks.
Type of facility is an acute hospital. Facility is a Magnet
facility and a Level II trauma center. Total staffed beds are 407.
Charting system is Epic. Interdisciplinary support includes IV
Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. Patient
age groups range from neonates to geriatrics. Daily census is
approximately 15 patients with an estimated 15 visits per day.
Special procedures in the unit include a variety of endoscopic
techniques and patient care methods. References from supervisory
positions are required covering the last three years. Candidates
must meet specific skills and experience required for the role.
Travelers are allowed to submit with a pending license, which takes
10-12 weeks to process. Please ensure housing options are
considered, as availability may be limited. Facilitate
communication devices as needed by the job duties at no additional
cost. All travelers must be willing to work during major holidays
and subject to a maximum of one calendar year in their assignment
before a required break. Hep B vaccines are accepted, and titers or
declinations will not be accepted. Completion of required modules
