Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Soldotna, AK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,451 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Technologist II Profession: MT/MLT Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent MT/MLT experience required. License: Active CLS, ASCP or AMT certification required. Certifications: Active BLS required (must be AHA). Must-Have: Strong chemistry experience. Description: The Medical Technologist II performs and evaluates various laboratory tests on patient specimens. This role provides data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. The position also provides supervision for designated areas of the laboratory. Equipment utilized includes Sysmex 4000 and 1000, Rapidlabs, Ortho 5600, Vitros eCI, Vitros 350, Sysmex 1500, GenExpert, Advanced Instrument Micro Osmometer, and Roche U411. The Medical Technologist will be responsible for proficient processing and analysis of specimens. The schedule may include weekends and holidays. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including variable shift lengths. Candidates should have experience with EPIC charting. The dress code is scrubs (not provided), while lab coats and PPE are provided. We are looking for an MLS with strong chemistry experience to cover for a supervisor who will be out for an extended period.
