Job Description Vista Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry for a job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatry - Discipline: Nurse Practitioner - Duration: Ongoing - 70 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Staff - Full-time psychiatric nurse practitioner hospitalist position - 7 on/7 off block schedule - 10-hour shifts - Requires PMHNP certification and an Alaska license upon start date - One year of practice experience preferred - Provide initial medical admissions evaluations & H&Ps, follow ups, diagnostics and discharges for ages 5, conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning - Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health - Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health, provide medical consultations and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed - Anchorage, Alaska location
