Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Alaska Start Date: January 19, 2026 Location: Anchorage, Alaska Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Variable shifts (7a, 9a, 11a, 12n, 1p, 3p, 7p) with rotating weekends; 13-week assignment Highlights: 20-bed Emergency Department with additional hallway spaces serving diverse patient populations Patient ratio of 4:1 (standard acuity) or 6:1 (low acuity ESI 4 and 5 patients) EPIC electronic medical record system with advanced equipment including Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors Experience with stroke and STEMI protocols; trauma and pediatric cases Collaborative team environment with 50 staff members including charge nurses, flow coordinators, techs, and ultrasound staff Opportunity to perform varied procedures including splinting and breathing treatments Requirements: Active Alaska RN license required at time of submission (mandatory) Prior Emergency Department experience required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC Stroke and STEMI experience strongly preferred Trauma and pediatric experience preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a dynamic emergency department team in Alaska's largest city where you'll care for a diverse patient population using state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
