be considered. A highly skilled registered nurse is needed for a
stepdown unit providing high-acuity progressive care in Girdwood,
AK. This contract role involves 13 weeks of night shifts from 7 PM
to 7 AM, requiring an active Alaska RN license with no temporary
licenses accepted. Completion of Alaska RN fingerprinting during
onboarding is mandatory to clear for work. This stepdown
observation unit consists of 19 beds and operates with a
patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 4:1. The unit is equipped
with bedside monitors and uses the EPIC electronic medical records
system. Typical staffing includes multiple RNs and CNAs, with no
on-call or weekend requirements beyond every other weekend. The
dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Key responsibilities include
providing high-quality nursing care to patients requiring telemetry
monitoring and stepdown observation. The role demands strong
clinical judgment, proficiency in telemetry and progressive care,
and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Alaska RN license
(permanent, not temporary) Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing
