Registered Nurse Location: Anchorage, AK Position Overview: We are
seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cath
Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of
experience in a Cath Lab setting, with a strong understanding of
various procedures and patient care practices. Shift Details:
Schedule: Day Shift - 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) No Block Schedules
Weekend Requirements: Some Saturdays as part of the regular shift;
on-call duty expected every 4th or 5th weekend. Essential
Qualifications: State of Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand is
required for automatic offering. Certifications: BLS and ACLS
certifications are required. 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or
a similar environment. Clinical Skills and Responsibilities:
Performing catheterizations, including left heart, right heart, and
pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring. Administering
procedural sedation and monitoring patient vitals. Utilizing
specialized equipment such as Impella devices and balloon pumps
during procedures. Managing medication administration, including
emergency medications and IV vasopressors. Understanding infection
control, isolation precautions, and hypothermia protocols.
Participating in interventional procedures such as angioplasty,
stent placements, and biopsies. Floating to Electrophysiology (EP)
or Interventional Radiology (IR) as needed. Work Environment: The
position is based in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute
hospital with 407 staffed beds. The hospital is recognized for its
commitment to quality care and excellence in the field. Patient
Demographics: Work with a diverse patient population, including
adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary Support: Collaboration
with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy,
and other specialized services. Orientation: 40 hours of
orientation is provided to ensure all new hires are fully prepared
for their roles. Guaranteed Hours: Guaranteed 70 hours per two-week
period, with potential call-offs for up to one 10-hour shift every
two weeks. Additional Information: Parking is provided free of
charge. Scrub colors will be provided by the facility. If you are a
