Respiratory Care Practitioner - Cardiac Rehab - Providence Anchorage at Providence Health and Services summary: The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides specialized respiratory therapy services to pediatric patients in the NICU/PICU at Providence Alaska Medical Center, adhering to prescribed medical protocols and collaborating with healthcare teams. Description The Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients in the NICU/PICU as prescribed by Physicians/NNPs in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. She/He is responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. She/He implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. She/He will assess, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.
