CNA - Providence Alaska Medical Center at Providence Health and
Services summary: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at Providence
Alaska Medical Center provides direct patient care under the
supervision of RNs and charge nurses, ensuring a safe and clean
environment that supports patient-focused care. This role requires
certification, completion of medical terminology training, and
current BLS certification. The position offers flexible full-time
or part-time shifts with additional pay for nights and weekends,
and benefits including a hiring bonus and comprehensive healthcare
plans. Description Under direct supervision this position is
accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe
and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the
department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the
shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the
patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on
maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which

qualifications and conditions for payment. Hours: Full Time (3)
12-Hour Shifts per week or Part Time (2) 12-hour Shifts per week
Shifts: Day or Night Shift based on current needs. Premium Pay
Differentials: Nights: $4.00/hr Weekends $2.20/hr Hiring in:
Resource Pool / Orthopedic Unit / Surgical Unit / Progressive Care
Unit Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training - Completed
training program for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) or any equivalent
Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and
Experience. Coursework/Training - Completion of Medical Terminology
course required or successful completion of hospital Medical
terminology test within 90 days of hire. Alaska Nursing Assistant
Certification License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American

for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
